Respectful Training Environment
The top priority at Legacy is the respectful treatment of everyone we interact with, including teammates, coaches, officials, parents, and opposing players. Disrespectful behavior, bullying, or incidents of racism will not be tolerated. Incidents of this nature must be reported to the team coach, who will in turn notify the program director; Legacy leadership may investigate further at its discretion. Athletes found to have violated this policy will be subject to disciplinary action, including possible removal from the program.
Participation & Commitment
Athletes are asked to make every effort to attend all practices and competitions and to comply with the standards and team rules set by their coach and by Legacy. Absences or failure to comply with these standards may result in reduced playing time or participation. Above all, we ask each athlete to bring their best attitude and effort to practices and tournament events, demonstrate a high level of sportsmanship, and remain respectful of coaches, teammates, opponents, spectators, and officials at all times.
While we understand and support athletes who choose to participate in multiple sports, we expect a strong commitment to our program. Being a dual-sport athlete requires careful time management, and we ask that athletes make every effort not to miss team activities, practices, or games. Missed time can negatively affect the team as a whole — our rhythm, preparation, and overall success — and we count on each player’s presence and consistency to help the team reach its full potential.
Playing Time & Player Development
Legacy is committed to the growth and development of each athlete on the team. Practice sessions provide a significant opportunity to develop and refine skills, and all players will have opportunities to showcase their skills in the context of tournament play. However, playing time will not be equal among all athletes on the team; it depends on a combination of factors, including court position, ability to execute skills, attitude, effort, attendance, punctuality, coachability, body language, and work ethic.
